The quaint town of Grange-over-Sands is set between Morecambe Bay and the Lake District fells, offering one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a popular Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer, such as a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse and the L’Enclume restaurant, which has been voted the 4th best restaurant in the UK. Further attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world-famous topiary gardens, Holker Hall, Furness Abbey, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house. There is also the 25-mile Cistercian Way which starts at Grange over Sands. It was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The outdoor hot tub was amazing. The location was peaceful and perfect for exploring the Lake District.

The cabin was clean and warm. The hot tub was clean and this was checked on a daily basis. The fire was a lovey touch which we enjoyed putting on every night, especially when the snow was coming!

Everything about it was perfect, such a lovely little escape to relax. The pod was immaculate and the nicest we have stayed in up to now. It has high quality features, a super comfy bed, lovely shower, log burner and hot tub. The kitchen was just enough so you could make all your meals no problem. We loved our time there so much we were sad to leave and will definitely be booking to go back next year.
